Michael Jusbasche is the CEO of Houston-based ALTIVIA, a leading North American privately held chemical producer. With over 30 years of experience in the chemicals and petrochemicals industry, he has guided ALTIVIA’s growth through strategic acquisitions, including facilities from Dow Chemical, Sunoco, and PPG Industries. These expansions have positioned ALTIVIA as a key supplier of intermediate chemicals across diverse industries. Jusbasche founded ALTIVIA in 1986, initially producing aluminum sulfate for water treatment and paper industries, before expanding into sodium aluminate and other products. Prior to ALTIVIA, he was managing partner at Continental Coastal Company and began his career as a lead reservoir engineer at Shell Oil. He holds a master’s and engineer’s degree in petroleum engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University.
